Cutting EPS with hotwire has a certain speed limit, even with the most expensive oscillating frame you will not reahc higher speeds than 2m/min at 15g/l density. This is the bottle neck for the output. In order to reduce cutting time, blocks are cut through the WIDTH rather than the LENGTH. Trimming of the sides is achieved by longwires in the DOWNCUTTER.

The capacity of this line is 35 to 40 blocks of 3.0 x 1.2 x 1.0m (i.e. 40 x 3.6 = 144 m3) per hour.
In addition to the capacity it needs less space in length due to the U-shape.
